Top Seed Will Battle For Title
Lee Childs Will Take on Benjamin Becker in Sunday’s Final
Rimouski, Quebec (TC) – Top seed Lee Childs, of Great Britain, will take
part in Sunday’s final at the first edition of Rimouski’s National Bank
Futures. Childs, 390th on the ATP entry rankings, defeated American Alberto
Francis in two sets of 6-2 and 7-5.
In the other semifinal, German Benjamin Becker beat American Philip Stolt
7-6(4), 6-7(2), 6-2 in a two hour forty-five minute marathon match.
Childs will take on Becker tomorrow at 1pm.
Rimouski’s National Bank Futures takes place at Les Tennis de Rimouski Nov.
5-13 2005. It is part of the all new National Bank Circuit which will bring
tennis to Montreal (twice), Sherbrooke, Laval, St-Georges-de-Beauce and
Saguenay.
